I sometimes wonder if I am adjusting at all to living here in Atlanta. I've been here for two months now, and so far I hate my job, have a very limited number of friends, and haven't been playing nearly as much ultimate as I should be. I have a social life that that revolves around exercising once a week during track practices, and going to tournaments. Again except for the handful of friends that I had before I moved here, I have not met anyone new, nor do I ever go out. All of this makes me wonder if I made the right decision at all to move to Atlanta. But what other choices did I really have? I could have stayed in Knoxville. But if I really liked it there then I wouldn't have been out of town every weekend for the last six months I was there. And I do miss people there, and the just easy hanging out, but I didn't feel like I belonged there anymore. I also could have moved home (gasp! horror!) to Dyersburg. (Where? EXACTLY.) That one was out. Or I could have moved back to Memphis, my real home. Yes, I could have lived in MY house for free while Mom and Dad are trying to sell it, I probably even could have worked at the Gap there close to full time if I really wanted. But I don't really belong in Memphis anymore either. As much as I love Memphis (even though I say that I hate it) I don't belong there. Except for Katie (and Mandy whom I haven't seen since highshcool) I don't have any friends there either. Despite all of those choices being the wrong ones, I don't know if this one was the right one either.
At the begining of my freshman year of college I felt like this alot. I had just gone through sorority rush (no comments, please) and had been rejected from all of them. All of my suite mates and every fricking girl on my floor was in a sorority. And that was fine, but I just didn't fell like I belonged. It was really hard, and I contemplated moving back home. I was really sad and desprate. And eventually I started playing ultimate, and things got much better, I know that I wouldn't have made it through those terrible couple of weeks if it hadn't been for Lacey. In the sixteen years we've known each other, this is the first time we haven't lived in the same city... or even a couple of miles from each other. During college, I knew that I could always depend on her when things got rough, even though we didn't really hang out that often.
Now, I don't even have Lacey here to lean on. I have Samantha and Teddy and Susie, and a few other people, but it's not the same as the person that has known you since you were five. I'm just feeling a little insecure lately... sorry for this pitty party. I'm just trying to figure out if any of the decisions have been the right ones, or if all of this was just too soon for me, or just wrong completely. Hopefully things will start to look up soon...

Alabama and Alcohol
So, I've discovered that there is some connection with the amount of alcohol I consume and the state of Alabama. I've been to four tournaments so far in 2006, three of them in Alabama, and I've gotten fairly drunk every Saturday night... actually every single time I've been in the state of Alabama in the last year I've gotten drunk and tried to make a fool of myself, usually succeeding. WTF?
Anyway, this past weekend was Mud Bowl at the Talladega Motor Speedway. And it was AWEFUL. The weather on Saturday morning was horrible-- temp hovering between 35-40 degrees, and raining. AND windy. It was by far some of the worst conditions that I've ever played in. So, I was playing with a team called Iron whORE (emphasis on the last syllable... like with a British accent), but I called us Iron WHORE... Whore game is my fav! We lost our first game to UTK ladies, which sucked, because I wanted to win so badly! Then we lost 13-0 to Savage Booty. We didn't have more than two completed passes in any single point! Then we had our bye, where Samantha and I decided to get food and booze. McDonalds has never tasted so good, nor has hot chocolate and kaluha. It was fabulous. We also picked up some High Life. So, we kinda drove around watching games from the car, hung out and watched the Auburn girls a little, saw Ray Ray and Justin. Good time during the bye. After the bye we played a pick up team, and barely won, then had to play the nooga/atl team. it was a fun game for me, even though they absolutely killed us. But I played well, and I got to play all the girls that I love. Went to the Hotel, showered, and got some dinner at O'Charley's with Sam, Teddy, Joe, Tom and Joyner. It was fantastic. Got back to the Hotel, and basically the party started. The tournament had rented out the WHOLE hotel for the weekend, so imagine sixty rooms of ultimate kids and lots of alcohol. Needless to say a good time was had by all. I proceeded to get drunk with the Auburn girls, saw Flo ladies and Buddy, and had a fabulous time. Finally hit the bed around 12:30. Got up, had a first round bye (this is the one time being in the B-bracket actually paid off!) and we lost our first game to Brutal Grassburn. We should have won, but oh well. The Auburn girls ended up beating Brutal to win the B-bracket. Ended up watching some more ultimate... Teddy's team was in the open finals and Auburn was in the College finals. Unfortunatly Auburn lost a hard fought game to LSU, but Teddy's team won. After that, I quickly said my goodbyes and we were out. Over all it was a great weekend, and got to see lots and lots of people that I don't get to see very often, which was awesome. So the only thing I need to work on is I need to stop going to Alabama and getting drunk! It usually doesn't turn out too well for me!

A day in the salon...
So, things have been a little crazy for me the last couple of weeks, and a tad bit emotional. So, yesterday i decided that i needed an afternoon for me, and i made an appointment at this hair salon close to my house. It was awesome, got a small massage, had my hair trimmed, and my eyebrows waxed (i hate tweesing!) And the the girl that was cutting my hair asked if I wanted to have ber blow it out straight. Um YES! take a look at what you can pay other people to do. Now i might have to spend the Hour and a half that this took myself because i LOVE it!

Ok, here are the pics from Tuscaloosa... there aren't that many of them. And my computer is super slow, so all you get is a link to facebook. Deal with it.
